Job description

  • The Granite YMCA is seeking Associate Teachers to join our Early Learning team!
  • This is an exciting opportunity to support high-quality early childhood programs, assist in curriculum implementation, and help create a safe, engaging environment for young children.
  • As an Associate Teacher, you will work closely with Lead Teachers to guide daily classroom operations, mentor Assistant Teachers, and ensure a cohesive, developmentally appropriate program.

Responsibilities

Support the classroom in alignment with YMCA standards and NH State Licensing requirements Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children Build positive relationships with children and families; maintain confidentiality Lead classroom activities, including curriculum implementation, snack/meals, and setup/cleanup Guide and mentor Assistant Teachers to ensure a cohesive classroom experience Monitor attendance, headcounts, and behavior; act as classroom lead in the absence of Lead Teacher Model and promote YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies following YMCA procedures Collaborate with Lead Teachers and Program Director on classroom operations and program quality Contribute to a positive, flexible, team-oriented culture

Qualifications
