We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Civics & Social Studies Teacher to teach students in grades 3 through 9. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of civics, government, U.S. history, geography, and current events, and can make these subjects meaningful and relevant for students of varying age levels.

This teacher should be capable of leading thoughtful discussions, encouraging critical thinking, and maintaining strong classroom management while fostering respect, responsibility, and civic awareness.

Responsibilities

Teach civics and social studies to students in grades 3–9 Develop engaging lessons in government, citizenship, geography, U.S. history, world history, and current events Help students understand civic responsibility, leadership, and respectful discussion Encourage analytical thinking, reading comprehension, and written communication through social studies instruction Maintain strong classroom management and structured routines Differentiate instruction for varying learning levels and age groups Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records Communicate professionally with parents and school leadership Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications
