Kindergarten Teacher – Strong in Early Literacy, Math & Science

We are seeking a caring, energetic, and highly skilled Kindergarten Teacher with a strong background in English Language Arts (ELA) and early literacy instruction, early mathematics, and foundational science instruction.

The ideal candidate understands how to build foundational reading and writing skills through systematic phonics instruction, vocabulary development, guided reading, listening comprehension, handwriting, and early writing activities, number sense, and hands-on science exploration while maintaining excellent classroom management.

This teacher should be capable of creating a structured classroom environment that balances academic rigor with warmth, creativity, and developmentally appropriate learning.

Responsibilities

Teach Kindergarten students in ELA, math, science, and other core subjects Provide strong phonics and early reading instruction to build literacy foundations Teach foundational math concepts including number recognition, counting, patterns, addition, subtraction readiness, and problem-solving Introduce age-appropriate science concepts through observation, discussion, and hands-on activities Develop engaging lessons that support cognitive, social, and academic growth Maintain strong classroom structure, routines, and behavior expectations Differentiate instruction to support varied learning levels Monitor and assess student progress regularly Communicate professionally with parents and school leadership Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications
