All teachers contribute to the school mission and community with activities such as supporting student SEL, interest groups (clubs), social events, and grade level trips. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the school’s mission, values, and philosophy, especially related to diversity, equity, inclusion, environmental sustainability, and global perspective. A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience teaching math to upper school students is required. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to establish an effective learning environment and use a wide range of methods. Knowledge and experience with differentiation to effectively design curricula to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Ability to provide additional outside-of-classroom instruction when necessary for remedial or accelerated work. Ability to assess student progress through a variety of assessment instruments. An ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a team.
A master's degree and 3+ years of teaching experience is preferred. Ability to Teach Algebra I – Calculus. Experience Teaching both middle school and upper school students.
Salary range is $60,272 to $109,912 per year (prorated) based on education and years of experience. This is a 0.75 FTE position which is benefits eligible.
