Description Vacancy for a paraprofessional to provide program support to elementary-age students in general education and/or special education settings, including lunch and recess supervision. This position works 7 hours per day.
Qualifications
Paraprofessionals must possess 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of study from an institution of higher education or an AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, OR must provide a passing score on the MN ParaPro Test or ParaEducator Assessment. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Ability to communicate effectively with students. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, AND STRENGTHS Knowledge of land-based learning and experiential learning Knowledge of Ojibwe language revitalization efforts and their importance. Mediation and restorative justice skills Experience assisting with social-emotional learning
