Job description

Payroll title: Part-time Mobile Bus Support Specialist

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Mental Health & Disability Manager, the Part-time Mobile Bus Support Specialist supports the coordination and delivery of therapy services provided within the program, including services conducted on the mobile sensory bus. This role ensures a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children while maintaining organization, documentation, and compliance with program requirements. The position requires active supervision, strong coordination skills, and collaboration with staff and community partners.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and coordinate therapy schedules with staff and therapists to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Safely escort children to and from the mobile sensory bus.
  • Provide active supervision at all times during therapy sessions.
  • Set up, clean, and maintain therapy environments, including materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance, schedules, and related records.
  • Collect and document in-kind contributions from community partners in accordance with program requirements.
  • Support visits, services, and trainings conducted by community partners.
  • Administration may assign additional duties as needed for the benefit of the agency
  • Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures and protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of 45 DCF hours.
  • Experience working with young children preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Work is performed in a childcare setting and on a mobile sensory bus.
  • Position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and active supervision of children.

Monday-Friday 20-25 hours per week
