Job Description
Enrichment Program Staff Worker Title: Summer Day Camp Worker Supervisor: Nate Porter Classification: Non-exempt (seasonal) Description: A faithful Enrichment Program staff member is responsible for the needs, care, and safety of children within their care. Spiritual Qualifications: ● Demonstrates a passion for Christ and his Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry. ● Seeks to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability and service to his Kingdom.
Responsibilities
● Care for the safety and spiritual, physical, and mental well-being of the children ● Lead assigned daily activities with children, such as, but not limited to before-school care, after-school care care, dropoff/pickup, playground duty, lunch duty, kindergarten stretch, special day camps, etc. Specific assignments may be subject to change as necessary. ● Follow all proper policies and procedures as indicated in employee and enrichment handbooks ● Communicate effectively, respectfully and in a timely manner, both orally and in writing, with students, faculty and parents, especially relating to behavioral, illness or injury incidents ● Care for and return all equipment used to its proper place Other Expectations: ● Possess a positive, fun, and outgoing attitude with children ● Work well with others (be a team player) ● Act quickly and exercise independent, mature judgment ● Be faithful in attendance, arriving at or before the time scheduled by the Supervisor ● Participate in any scheduled training classes/meetings for the department ● Willingness to be flexible with work schedule when necessary ● Actively and collaboratively participate as a member of the Enrichment team and school faculty ● Keep phone and email communications responsive ● Perform all other duties as assigned Requirements: ● Be at least 18 years old ● Previous experience desirable ● Successfully pass Live Scan criminal background check prior to hire ● CPR/First Aid certified ● Obtain certificate of negative result for TB screening prior to hire Qualifications
