The mission of the Overlake Athletic Department is “To teach character to multi-sport athletes in a fun and competitive environment.” Our Athletic Purpose consists of three components: Student Participation Skill Development Teaching Values The Overlake School is seeking qualified applicants for 2026 Fall season's Middle School Volleyball Coach position. The position requires knowledge of the sport, and prior coaching experience at the middle or high school levels is preferred. Teaching and club coaching experience are also considered.
Details for the Applicant
- The season starts the week of September 8th and ends by October 28th, 2026.
- Practices run two days per week, usually 3:00-4:30 pm, with games on a third day. Practices are held usually on campus. Games could be on campus or other off-campus locations. The season stipend amount ranges from $2929 to $4984 D.O.E. and position per season
Requirements
Have the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, parents, alums and administrators. Be able to role model the behavior that he/she demands. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to pass a criminal background check. Be First Aid/CPR Certified (Training provided if needed) Document an acceptable driving record to transport students to and from games. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds. Must complete all coach training requirements Responsibilities include: Execute all team practices & games Provide basic medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Be able to execute emergency plans for athletic facilities Attend Athletic Department Coaches Training prior to season starting A minimum of weekly communications with families Overlake School is an independent, secular, college prep school, which services grades 5-12, located in Redmond, Washington.
