The Medical Assistant supports providers by managing clinical workflows, rooming patients, and documenting vital signs. They are responsible for administering injections, coordinating patient communication, and maintaining sanitized, well-stocked exam rooms.

The Medical Assistant supports providers in delivering efficient, high‑quality patient care by managing clinical workflows, rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating patient communication. The MA improves patient flow, reduces provider administrative burden, and enhances the overall patient experience.
Specific Clinical Duties
Administers IM/SQ injections as ordered.
Obtains vital signs and prepares patients for examinations.
Completes prior authorizations and manages medication refill workflows.
Responds to patient messages and supports care coordination across providers.
Triages referrals and assists with patient scheduling needs.
Assists providers during procedures by preparing rooms, equipment, and necessary documentation.
Maintains clean, safe, and properly stocked exam rooms.
Monitors and restocks clinical supplies and inventory.
Ensures clinical equipment is functioning and sanitized according to clinic protocols.
Provides occasional front office support as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Assists Private Practice physicians by:
Patient wait times decrease and patient satisfaction improves.
Documentation accuracy improves with minimal charting errors.
Consistent compliance with NRC clinical protocols.
Proactive workflow management supports efficient patient flow.
Demonstrates reliable communication, teamwork, and consistent follow‑through.
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extensive periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 pounds.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Communicate to perform essential functions.
