- Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
- Deliver individualized instruction aligned to student learning needs and state standards
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Implement positive behavior strategies and classroom supports using PBIS principles
- Track student progress and communicate with families and school teams
- Adapt curriculum and classroom activities to support diverse learning styles
- Foster confidence, independence, and emotional growth in students
- Partner with related service providers and school staff to create meaningful student outcomes
What we're looking for
- Required
- Arizona Department of Education Standard Professional Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Preferred
- Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Passion for creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
