- Adjunct - Family Nursing Practitioner On Campus Experience – Main Campus – Health Care Professions Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose?
- The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking a FPN Adjunct to provide feedback on student’s health assessment skills when interacting with a standardized patient.
- What You Will Do Remain current with new trends and development in your field of expertise Provide positive feedback and recommendations for improvement to the student about health assessment techniques, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment protocols.
- Receive report from student of patient interaction, in SOAP format.
- Provide feedback to simulation staff about standardized patient interaction, and recommendations for future development of scenarios.
- Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University What You Will Bring Preferred: Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field Required: Master’s degree in nursing (FNP, ACNP), DO, MD, Master’s prepared Physician’s Assistant.
- Nurses must maintain an active, current, and unencumbered RN license.
- Current board certification required in area of practice.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Successfully pass a drug screen.
- Proficient in English, Grammar, and writing in APA format.
