We are currently seeking a dedicated, creative, and warm middle school math/science teacher for our boys division. This role is ideal for a current graduate student in education, someone interested in exploring becoming a teacher, or a recently retired teacher who isn’t quite ready to leave it all behind!

This includes building nurturing relationships with students and providing age-appropriate levels of student supervision, classroom rules, and routines.
Create and implement lesson plans You will be responsible for teaching Math and Science to middle school boys. Our curriculum is aligned with Massachusetts state standards. Your creativity will shine in the activities you plan to engage student interest in the content.
Monitor and communicate student progress Provide feedback to students and their families on academic, social, and behavioral progress. Maintain appropriate records. Create two-way communication channels with families so they are updated on their child’s progress.

Salary: $24,000-$32,000 per year, commensurate with experience

About Torah Academy Torah Academy is a preK-8 school that has been in the Boston area for 40 years. Our general studies curriculum is modeled after the public school frameworks, so familiarity with grade level secular academic expectations is a big plus. Torah Academy contains a boys division and a girls division; students are separated by gender starting in first grade.
Candidates should have prior successful experience with middle school students and a strong commitment to differentiated instruction. A passion for educating children and creativity in teaching methods are essential.
