Job description

  • Seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join a collaborative OB/GYN practice of MDs, CNMs & APPs in the Phoenix metro area.
  • We practice in a teaching hospital, providing care to a predominately underserved, culturally-diverse population.
  • Full time.
  • Applicant will work both in a clinic and hospital setting.
  • Good Interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic are needed.
  • Prior experiences in cross-cultural care, and community service are preferred.
  • Spanish speaking a plus.

  • This position requires the following: · Passion for providing care for diverse vulnerable populations · Providing Prenatal Care for routine and high risk women · Triaging pregnant patients presenting to the hospital for a variety of complaints (16-40+ weeks) · Interpreting Antepartum Testing results and making management decisions regarding care of high risk women (in consultation with MFM) · Educating and Managing women with Diabetes in pregnancy · Rounding on low risk Postpartum patients · Working as part of an Integrated Team of physicians and midwives in a high risk medical-model setting · Supervising and Educating Residents · Providing Preventive Health Services · Counseling patients on all contraceptive options · Inserting IUDs and Contraceptive Implants The position would include employment through District Medical Group Inc. (“DMG”) a 400+ physician multi-specialty group working within Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS).
