Job Description

  • The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention, care and treatment of patients/athletes and will assist the medical staff in caring for our outpatient/orthopedic patient care needs.
  • The Athletic Trainer will be assigned to a site to provide athletic training services including practice and event coverage.
  • The Athletic Trainer will also assist in providing exercise programs to injured patients/athletes as well as conditioning programs.
  • Maintaining records of treatment plans, physician notes, and daily logs is required at the assigned site.
  • Handling clerical tasks such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, and restocking supplies is also required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/experience/licensing

  • Master’s Degree required or 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in sports medicine, athletic training or equivalent in lieu of Master’s Degree.
  • Licensed Athletic Training in OH (required or eligible to obtain)
  • Obtains/maintains CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Communication and other skills

  • Functional in Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior
  • Interact with all coaches, administrators, and physicians as appropriate for needs of the athletes
  • Able to function as part of the sports medicine team
