- Villa Bella Expeditionary (VBE) is a K-8th District 70 charter school in its sixth year of operation. VBE uses Expeditionary Learning for its language arts curriculum and Illustrative Math. As a newer school, our staff has the opportunity to be part of a new and growing organization that demands immense work, entrepreneurship, and creativity. We follow the District 70 academic calendar with minimal modifications. VBE seeks energetic, compassionate, hard-working individuals whose educational philosophies align with EL Education.
- PRIMARY
- FUNCTION: The primary function of the Paraprofessional is to assist, support, and work closely with ESS teachers, administrators, and other team members to provide a high-quality instructional program that continuously improves explorer achievement. Duties can include but are not limited to working with small groups of students, working one-on-one with students, assisting teachers in the classroom, and carrying out car loop and lunch duties.

- RESPONSABILITIES: Follow the daily schedule as prescribed. Adjust to work assignments and/or schedule changes. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of material or skills the crew leader initially introduces or outlines. Provide extra assistance to students with exceptionalities. Assist as directed by the supervising crew leader to successfully maintain students with special needs in an integrated setting, as determined by the IEP team. Assist the crew leader in preparing materials and equipment for small-group or whole-group instruction. Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, school yards, gymnasiums, or on field trips/expeditions. Communicate clearly and positively with students and all stakeholders. Perform assigned non-instructional classroom duties, such as snack time, class change, etc. Additional school-level responsibilities as assigned by the Director Demonstrate ethical behavior and confidentiality of explorer information in the school environment and community.

Salary Range
