About the Role
The Simulation Operations Specialist supports the development and implementation of simulation‑based education across the Advocate Aurora Health system. This role partners closely with faculty, simulation education specialists, and clinical teams to provide technical expertise and ensure high‑quality simulation experiences. As a key member of the System Simulation team, you will help plan, launch, and operate simulation programs—both in situ and within simulation centers—to advance organizational learning and support strategic outcomes. Major Responsibilities Simulation Program Support Plan, schedule, and coordinate simulation‑based programs alongside simulation facilitators. Execute all technical aspects of simulation events, including equipment setup, tear‑down, programming, and basic maintenance. Support the launch and operations of simulation centers and in situ simulations across the enterprise. Technical Operations & Maintenance Maintain all simulation training equipment, including troubleshooting, coordinating repairs, and supporting software/hardware upgrades. Monitor inventory and replenish supplies as needed. Stay current and proficient in evolving simulation technologies. Training & Collaboration Provide training and serve as a resource for simulation confederates and users of simulation technologies. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality simulation experiences. Contribute to Advocate Aurora Academy initiatives by informing system‑wide learning strategies and ensuring simulation is represented. Data & Administrative Support Collect, track, and organize accurate data supporting simulation activities and outcomes. Assist with scheduling, planning logistics, and operational coordination related to simulation events. Required Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) Education Associate’s degree in Organizational Development or Simulation or a related field required.
