- Our Infant/Toddler Teacher role is an opportunity to focus on a specific age range while diving deeper into our play-based curriculum, planning, flow of day, documentation and communicating effectively with the team, children and parents.
- As a Brella Infant/Toddler Teacher You Will: Provide a safe and loving environment for children in collaboration with co-teachers Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance Engage as children work with age-appropriate, stimulating, and thoughtful materials Plan and implement Brella curriculum and develop daily modifications as needed per age group or emergent class interests and demonstrate that the target curriculum engagement/quality elements are being achieved Keep the classroom safe by following procedures and guidelines Collaborate and communicate respectfully with coworkers creating positive relationships and center culture Communicate effectively with families during drop off/pick ups and provide curriculum and development updates Experience & Education Requirements: At least 18+ years of age with a High School Diploma and 12 Early Childhood Education units including 3 units specific to infant care (Required by Licensing) At least 12+ months of experience working in a licensed child care facility Must meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services / Licensing We Care for Our Caregivers Full-time educators at Brella are eligible for: Competitive pay: Teacher / Program Teacher: $20.50-$23.50 401K eligibility to contribute after 3 months Employee paid STD, LTD, AD&D Brella sponsored Basic & Supplemental Life Insurance Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Additional medical and mental health benefits (One Medical, Health Advocate, Talkspace) Rest & Recharge: Paid Time Off - 10 days/year; Sick & Safe Time - 6 days/year; Center Closing/Holidays - 8 days/year Discounted child care (depending on availability) Opportunities for growth and advancement Referral program Fun celebrations & team building opportunities Physical Demands Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, bend and otherwise fully participate in activities.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to physically handle children between 0-6 years of age using appropriate techniques.
