Football Strength & Conditioning Coach Position Type: Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Categories: Staff Exempt Job Summary: Job Duties: Job Summary Develops and implements a comprehensive, year-round strength and conditioning program for Bucknell University’s Division 1 FCS football program. Leads all strength and conditioning and nutrition activities of an athletic team. Works with the Team Physician, Sports Medicine Staff, and Head Football Coach to ensure that specific strength and conditioning needs of the program are met, and to design and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs. Manages supplies, equipment and facilities. Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics, Student-Athlete Health and Wellness Work Setting/Schedule: Primarily on-campus Requires night and weekend availability What You Will Do: Leads all strength and conditioning activities of an athletic team at practice and before competitions Performs soft tissue release work at practices and competitions Presents information on strength and conditioning program to new recruits Provides strength and conditioning support for summer camps and special events. Coordinates travel arrangements and travels with the team to competitions. What You Will Bring: Required: Bachelor's Degree 1 year of experience in collegiate athletics Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a wide variety of people of diverse backgrounds and at various levels of the organization, as well as provide excellent customer service Preferred, But Not Required Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, or related field 2 years of experience at a college university setting or related field Physical Requirements Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day Job Exempt: Yes

Salary Range

52,100.00-65,100.00 The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy. This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
