The Child Development Center is seeking energetic, nurturing, and experienced Lead Teachers for our Infants, Toddlers, and Twos classrooms. We are a NAEYC-accredited and 4-Star Texas Rising Star preschool in Southwest Austin that has proudly served children and families for over 30 years. As a well-established nonprofit preschool, we believe investing in our teachers creates the very best environment for children to thrive.
This is a full-year, full-time exempt position with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7
00 AM–3:00 PM.

What You’ll Do As a Lead Teacher, you will create a classroom environment where children feel loved, secure, and encouraged to explore the world around them. You’ll help guide children through some of their most important early developmental milestones while building meaningful partnerships with families.
Responsibilities
include: Creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment Planning and implementing hands-on learning experiences aligned with NAEYC and Texas Rising Star standards Supporting children’s social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development Collaborating with Assistant Teachers through coaching, modeling, and communication Building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Communicating with families through daily updates, conversations, and written documentation Completing developmental observations and assessments Individualizing care and learning experiences for each child Maintaining classroom organization, health, and safety standards Ensuring compliance with all licensing and program requirements

Qualifications
Required: Associate's, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or related field Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience Ability to meet all Texas DFPS licensing requirements and pass a background check
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or EC Special Education
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 25+ pounds Ability to bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time
