Summary of Position St. Michael’s Prep is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to serve as our Student Services Testing Proctor for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role requires a collaborative teacher who will work across Pre-k-8 grade levels to support student success. This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position, beginning in August 2026.
Ideal Candidates The ideal candidate is a collaborative, student-centered professional who is experienced in, or eager to develop expertise in, social-emotional learning, technology-rich practices, and differentiated support for students with diverse learning styles and needs. This individual should be highly organized, skilled at calendaring and planning, and able to effectively coordinate, organize, and oversee student testing processes with accuracy, care, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Knowledge and understanding of the developmental stages and needs of students Work with students who are having academic difficulty and/or students returning to school after an extended absence Proctor testing for all LS and MS students with accommodations including extended testing time for standardized testing as well as providing supervision of small groups Oversee and schedule small group testing. Assist in ERB/CTP-5 standardized test scheduling and proctoring. Experience in, or willing to develop expertise in social-emotional learning Work and plan collaboratively with the student services team Perform assigned duties such as carpool, lunch, and recess duties Cover academic and non-academic classes (e.g., study hall, homeroom) as needed Demonstrate effective classroom management Maintain effective and timely communication with colleagues and administrators Participate in professional development opportunities to learn and utilize innovative tools and techniques that improve student learning
