- Description: The Athletic Trainer Coordinator for the University of Louisville Athletic Department will collaborate with the Associate Athletic Trainer(s) and Assistant Athletic Trainer(s) to provide quality healthcare to the student-athletes for their assigned sport program(s). The sport assignment will be at the discretion of the Associate Athletic Trainer, but may include Football, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Track & Field/Cross Country, Baseball, or Rowing. They will provide multifaceted healthcare for assigned sport program(s) by assisting with injury prevention and evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, practice/event coverage, physician referral(s), and medical appointments. The Athletic Trainer Coordinator will be asked to participate in a mentorship program and may be assigned professional development tasks during their tenure. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide healthcare services to the student-athletes for assigned team, including but not limited to: injury prevention and evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, practice/event coverage, physician referral(s), and medical appointments. Provide game, practice, conditioning, and athletic training coverage for assigned sports. Provide training room coverage. Assist with medical records management for student-athletes for assigned sport. Remain current with all national and state certifications and licensure and follow the NATA code of ethics, including annual CEU opportunities. Other duties assigned by the Associate Athletic Trainer. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field. One (1) year of related work experience within a collegiate or professional sports setting. Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet.
