  • The Coaching Assistant / Men's Tennis for Virginia Tech will assist in coaching our Division I "Power 4" ACC Men's Tennis program.
  • Assists in evaluating, recruiting, and coaching student athletes.
  • Provides individualized instruction to student athletes.
  • Will collaborate with other coaches in working directly with student athletes, parents, and contributors on all aspects of the program.
  • Reports directly to the Head Coach / Men's Tennis.

Required Qualifications

  • Tennis coaching and/or playing experience at the NCAA Division I level.
  • Working knowledge of individual tennis skills and team systems.
  • Extensive experience providing individualized instruction/coaching to elite level junior tennis athletes.
  • Strong desire and ability to promote the sport to the general public.
  • Excellent work ethic and communication skills required to recruit high level student athletes and interact with parents and coaches.
  • Division I recruiting experience.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Direct knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Experience as a coach or player for an NCAA Power 4 program or professional tennis tour.

Pay Band: 3

Overtime Status

Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime

$16.26 / hour. Maximum of 1500 hours per year.
