    Market context

Virginia staff psychologist roles are selective

Staff psychologist openings in Virginia are often tied to college counseling, hospital, and community mental health settings, where demand is shaped by ongoing need for licensed doctoral clinicians. These roles are competitive because employers typically want APA-approved training, Virginia licensure or license eligibility, and experience working on multidisciplinary teams and in college mental health. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to quickly compare fit, then confirm your internship, licensure status, and setting experience before applying.
