Instructional Assistants will conduct small group literacy and math lessons and will be responsible for planning and executing these lessons. Instructional Assistants are committed to growth as professionals and individuals, and value and respect every member of the community.

- Daily 8:30-12:00 Support a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth
- Support student performance in all areas of development: social/emotional, literacy, math Plan and execute small group math and literacy lessons using FCDS curriculum standards Attend grade-level meetings as needed Support appropriate instruction in line with the school standards, curriculum, and student needs Create a positive, respectful educational climate for students to learn Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with colleagues, students, and families based on trust, understanding, and respect Manage student behavior in the classroom by utilizing effective classroom management strategies

- FUNCTIONS: Regularly required to walk, including across uneven ground, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children. Must be able to operate a computer and have basic knowledge of Google Workspace Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed Must be able to utilize oral and written communication skills effectively
