Instructional Assistants will conduct small group literacy and math lessons and will be responsible for planning and executing these lessons. Instructional Assistants are committed to growth as professionals and individuals, and value and respect every member of the community.

  • Daily 8:30-12:00 Support a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth
  • Support student performance in all areas of development: social/emotional, literacy, math Plan and execute small group math and literacy lessons using FCDS curriculum standards Attend grade-level meetings as needed Support appropriate instruction in line with the school standards, curriculum, and student needs Create a positive, respectful educational climate for students to learn Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with colleagues, students, and families based on trust, understanding, and respect Manage student behavior in the classroom by utilizing effective classroom management strategies
