Compensation

  • This is a fully legal, on-the-books household employee position. The family will provide a W-2 and comply with all applicable federal, New York State, and household employment laws. The position is structured around a guaranteed 40-hour workweek (Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM). While compensation is offered as an annual salary of $75,000–$85,000, the role will also have an equivalent hourly rate in compliance with household employment and wage laws.
  • Approximate hourly equivalent: $75,000/year = approximately $36.06/hour $85,000/year = approximately $40.87/hour Any hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek will be compensated at the applicable overtime rate in accordance with federal and New York labor laws.

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely loves exploring New York City with children and can independently create engaging, enriching afternoons filled with outdoor adventures, museum visits, library trips, playdates, and creative activities. The family is looking for a candidate who can confidently take ownership of the child’s schedule and experiences while also maintaining a well-run household during school hours. Qualifications
