Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator Location: Main Clinic – 3rd Floor | La Crosse, Wisconsin Schedule: Part-time, 40 hours per two weeks (0.5 FTE) Shift: 8-hour day shifts, typically 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with some schedule flexibility. Occasional weeknight and weekend hours to support community programming
About the Role
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a community-focused and passionate Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator to join our Trauma Services team. In this role, you will develop and lead injury prevention initiatives and partner with organizations across the region to promote safety and wellness. This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on community safety through education, outreach, and program development. What You Will Do Partner with community organizations such as fire departments, law enforcement, schools, public health agencies, YMCA, DNR, ADRC, and more Develop and lead injury prevention programs, including: Child passenger safety Teen driver safety Fall prevention (including Stepping On) Home and pedestrian safety Summer safety initiatives and Safe Kids programming Coordinate and facilitate events such as the Teen Car Control Clinic Represent Emplify Health by Gundersen through community outreach and local media opportunities Collaborate closely with a small team including another Injury Prevention Coordinator and Clinical Performance Improvement RNs What You Will Get Starting pay: $25.38/hour (plus more, based on experience) Top-rated retirement plan and healthcare benefits Support to grow in your career with access to our Tuition Investment Program and Career Development Center A values‑driven environment built on Leading with Love What You Need Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Community Health, or Public Health 3-4 years healthcare experience, preferably with an emphasis in trauma, safety, or injury prevention License/certification required as applicable based on education and experience Desired: 1 year previous experience in injury prevention program development About Us Emplify Health is comprised of two of the Midwest’s most respected healthcare systems, Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System.
