Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with IEPs within an inclusive classroom setting. Collect and track student data while collaborating with Inclusion Specialists to implement targeted interventions.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or specific college units and prior experience working with students with special needs. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess strong communication and data collection skills.
Education and Experience: Must complete 12 semester units and/or 18 quarter units and be currently enrolled for the same units or possess a BA/BS degree required Prior experience working with students with special needs in a learning environment Skills and Abilities Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Proficient in data collection Strong math skills Alignment with core characteristics required of every PUC employee: pursuit of excellence, innovation, community, tenacity, and authenticity Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques preferred Must be flexible and team-oriented Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Bilingual in Spanish preferred Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work Regular attendance, dependability, and punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below.
