Job description
Description Provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in Gymnastics and Tumbling classes.
Essential functions
Instruct gymnastic and tumbling lessons in accordance with YMCA and USAG guidelines; having prepared lesson plans accordingly. Be on time for job assignment and accept changes in schedule that affect assigned jobs. Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Convey information on gymnastics, tumbling and cheerleading programs and schedules and as appropriate refers students and parents to other programs. Maintain records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.). Attend all required staff meetings and trainings. Follow all YMCA Policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary. Organize and put away needed class equipment. Report damaged equipment. Train and supervise CIT’s as assigned. Treat all participants equally, set a good example. Assist with daily cleaning duties Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements
Qualifications
Certifications: CPR, AED, Basic First Aid certification, and all West Bend online courses. Must be able to demonstrate gymnastic/tumbling instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards. Ability to lift 50 pounds. At least 14 years of age.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper tumbling and gymnastic techniques. Ability to lift equipment, and to lift a small to average size child.
