Provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students with diverse learning needs in a special education setting. Collaborate with staff to implement classroom management strategies and ensure the overall safety and well-being of students.
A high school diploma or GED is required, while an associate's degree or higher is preferred. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and experience working with students facing social and emotional challenges.
The Classroom Aide would provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs while focusing on academic, behavioral, and emotional development. A Specialized Paraprofessional primarily supports students in an educational setting, assisting with academic tasks, and providing social and emotional support. Their focus is on facilitating learning and social-emotional integration within the classroom. This role requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives.
North Hudson Academy, a First Children School, is a New Jersey Department of Education approved private special education school, serving students from PreK through high school. Our school offers programs for students with behavioral/emotional issues, preschool handicapped and learners on the Autism Spectrum.
This role will be part of the Instructional team, reporting to the school principal.
