Position Summary

The School-Based Therapist provides behavioral health services to students within a school setting, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and social challenges that impact overall well-being and academic success. This role delivers individual, group, and family interventions while collaborating with school staff, families, and community partners to promote positive outcomes for students. Key Responsibilities Provide individual, group, and family therapy services to students. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely clinical documentation. Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions, including CBT, DBT-informed skills, Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation. Support students experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, trauma, grief, family conflict, peer relationship issues, and school-related stress. Collaborate with families, school personnel, and community providers to coordinate care and support student success. Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultation, and clinical supervision as appropriate. Respond to crisis situations and student safety concerns in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and school-based protocols. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field preferred. Active KY clinical license (CSW, LPCA, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) preferred but not required) Experience providing behavioral health services to children and adolescents preferred. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, student mental health needs, family systems, and evidence-based treatment approaches. Strong communication, relationship-building, and documentation skills.
