- Responsibilities: Give guidance and advice for Tier 1 classroom/school wide interventions. Provide behavior related training/professional development for staff as identified/requested using behavior team materials to promote consistency. Maintain behavior intervention schedule - Tier1 and Tier2 consultations, modeling, and guidance for classroom staff, Tier 3 intensive interventions. Provide training and modeling for classroom staff to implement behavior interventions for students on MTSS Tier 2. Provide strategies, advice, and modeling for classroom staff with students in small social skills groups in MTSS Tier 2. Provide resources for classroom staff and/or student in MTSS Tier 2 (i.e., token boards, behavior contracts, First/Then cards, incentives, reinforcers) Provide data sheets and instruction for classroom staff to collect data on students in MTSS Tier 2. Gather classroom staff collected data on students in MTSS Tier 2. Graph classroom staff collected target behavior data on students in MTSS Tier Identify the need for Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), assist in providing information to write BIPS Implement weekly social skills lessons for students in MTSS Tier 3. Implement daily/weekly instruction and reinforcement for replacement behavior interventions for students in MTSS Tier 3. Record data for social skills, target BIP behaviors, and replacement behaviors daily for students in MTSS Tier 3. Graph target BIP behavior, replacement behavior, and social skills data, weekly for students in MTSS Tier 3. Report graphs/progress with specialists and teachers to develop an appropriate strategy/plan for students in MTSS Tier 3. Provide training and modeling for classroom staff to implement behavior interventions for students on MTSS Tier 3. Crisis Behavior - Implement appropriate de-escalation or CPI procedures for C-TEAM classroom calls C-TEAM calls include Continuous/repetitive aggression Continuous/repetitive self-injurious behavior Continuous/repetitive property destruction Elopement out of classroom, out of school, off property Report student or employee injuries, and/or physical restraints used during Crisis call, immediately. - Training: (or equivalent) Associate degree (preferred) or equivalent college credits with additional work experience. High School Diploma with additional experience/behavior management training in lieu of degree.
- Minimum
- Experience: 3 Years’ experience supporting students’ behavior and social-emotional needs in a K-5th grade classroom. Demonstrated success in collecting behavior data and implementing individualized behavior plans. Experience and success in working as a collaborative team. Experience with crisis intervention and management; ability to complete and maintain ‘Blue Card’ CPI. Equivalent education or certification can be considered in lieu of experience. Experience supporting/implementing PBIS or other school-wide programs.
