Job description

  • Our Intern will support staff with tasks directly related to promoting the UMBC Catholic Retrievers, with a focus on increasing student engagement and supporting the long-term sustainability of the ministry.
  • Work may be completed remotely as needed, in addition to attending in-person meetings and events.
  • Weekly hours are flexible and may vary depending on programming needs and special events, so adaptability is essential.
  • Key areas of support include Coordinating Sunday Supper logistics, managing inventory of ministry supplies and providing logistical support for various ministry events.
  • Note that this position is expected to work 8-10 hours per week.

Essential Functions

Tasks (the internship may include, but is not limited to, the following)

Note

  • A personal vehicle is required for this position.
  • Participate in Bridge Builders through the Center for Well-Being for Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 (weekly meeting; $250 stipend for participation). Register on Handshake (#10920511).
  • Input new student data as students enroll in the ministry
  • Order snacks and drinks for the ministry
  • Coordinate food, beverages, and setup for
  • Sunday
  • Suppers (2:00–8:00 PM on Sundays)
  • Organize supplies at St. Mark, Catonsville
  • Order and coordinate food, beverages, and supplies as needed for ministry events

Position Qualifications

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher, etc.)
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate and engage other students to assist with initiatives
  • Quick learner with a willingness to learn

Who May Apply

Rising sophomores through rising seniors are preferred. The term begins on August 1, 2026.
