The role is responsible for the organization and discoverability of library resources through original and copy cataloging. Additionally, the librarian provides instructional services, research assistance, and circulation desk support to students and faculty.
Cataloging Perform original and copy cataloging of print, electronic, and multimedia library materials using accepted cataloging standards (MARC, RDA, AACR2, and Library of Congress subject headings). Maintain and update bibliographic and authority records in the library management system. Assist with collection maintenance projects, including inventory, withdrawals, and record cleanup. Library Instruction Provide library instruction sessions to support information literacy initiatives for students and faculty. Develop instructional materials, guides, and tutorials to support library services and research. Offer reference and research assistance in person, via email, and online. Requirement MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in library science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program, or completion expected within six months. Why Join Our Library Team?
