Job description
- The NFI DBT House in Vernon, VT is hiring part-time staff in our residential program that serves four female youth, 13-18 years, who have experienced trauma, have complex behavioral challenges and tend to struggle in their relationships.
- Our residential counselors provide clients with the opportunity to learn valuable independent living skills while also providing necessary support and encouragement for them to succeed in the community.
- Responsibilities include supervising daily activities; providing ongoing support, guidance and role modeling and facilitating client improvement in areas of personal responsibility, social skills, community living skills and behavior.
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, work well on a team, primarily work evening and weekend hours, have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or previous experience working with youth with emotional/behavioral challenges preferred.
- Pay range $21.00-$23/hour, based on experience, with a $2.00 shift differential for any weekend hours worked.
