- Summary: The PreK-4 Teacher is responsible for creating a faith-filled, developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth in accordance with the Florida Catholic Conference Early Childhood Standards and the mission of the Catholic Church. Duties and Responsibilities
Faith and Mission Integration Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture. Foster spiritual development through prayer, liturgy, and religious instruction in accordance with Diocesan guidelines. Serve as a witness to faith through personal conduct and relationships with students and families. Instructional Planning and Delivery Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with FCC standards and school curriculum. Use developmentally appropriate instructional methods and materials that support the whole child. Differentiate instruction to meet individual needs, including students with learning differences. Classroom Management and Environment Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom that encourages exploration and independence. Promote positive behavior and social-emotional skills using age-appropriate strategies. Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback to students and families. Assessment and Documentation Use formative and summative assessments to measure student growth and adjust instruction. Maintain accurate and timely records, including attendance, assessments, and anecdotal notes. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom events. Professional Responsibilities Participate in professional development aligned with FCC and Diocesan standards. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enhance program quality. Uphold all policies and procedures of the school, Diocese, and FCC accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
