  • Nutrition: Enter a New Era at NYP Through NewYork-Presbyterian’s chronic disease prevention portfolio in the Division of Community and Population Health, families living in low income neighborhoods across NYC and Westchester County have increased access to nutrition education and healthy lifestyles. Registered Dietitians at NewYork-Presbyterian are at the forefront of the care, using medical nutrition therapy to treat patients. They are respected members of the dynamic multidisciplinary care team, engaging daily with medical team members in direct patient care provision. Community Nutrition Specialist - Registered Dietitian - Columbia - Outpatient Nutrition - Grant Funded In this role, you will work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment to support local school based health and engage with communities and community-based organizations through nutrition education and food resources while creating safe, joyful spaces to play, to move and to connect. You will Bring your experience to the clinical nutrition team at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia Irving Medical Center. This is a full time position which requires flexibility, as community programming may occur during evening hours, weekends, and/or outdoors throughout the year.

Preferred Criteria

Master’s Degree Experience working with children and/or adolescents and their families Experience in an outpatient nutrition setting Bilingual English/Spanish Required Criteria Baccalaureate Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics Current registration with the CDR Current certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist Minimum 3 years progressive clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian or minimum of 3 years of community program experience with a minimum of 1 year as a Registered Dietitian Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, patient counseling skills Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
