Lactation Specialist – Labor and Delivery – FT Evenings

The lactation specialist provides direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients and their significant others, leveraging clinical expertise to facilitate professional nursing practice. This role involves leading the baby friendly initiative, educating staff and patients, and acting as a preceptor for new staff and students.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in nursing and hold a current new york state registered nurse license. Required certification includes being a certified lactation consultant from the international board certified lactation consultant board (Ibclc), along with a minimum of three years of related clinical experience.
