  • Category: Nursing - ClinicThe Registered Nurse (RN) School Nurse / Enterprise Clinic RN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in both the ambulatory clinic and school settings through the application of the nursing process; assessment, planning, implementation, delegation, and evaluation. The RN demonstrates proficient, compassionate, and professional communication with students, patients, families, visitors, colleagues, providers, school personnel, and community partners. This role supports the health and wellness needs of pre-kindergarten students through grade 12 while also assisting providers and clinic teams in delivering efficient, comprehensive ambulatory care. Responsibilities include health screenings, chronic disease management, immunization support, medication administration and monitoring, patient education, triage, care coordination, documentation, and collaboration with school personnel and healthcare providers. The RN practices in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, applicable school health regulations, and organizational policies and procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, adaptability, high integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively across clinic and school environments to ensure safe, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
  • Duties include but are not limited to: Provide comprehensive nursing care and support for patients and students through assessment, triage, treatment coordination, health education, and emergency response. Collaborate with healthcare providers, school personnel, families, and community resources to ensure coordinated, high-quality care for individuals with routine, chronic, and complex health needs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient and student encounters, assessments, communications, interventions, and care plans within electronic medical record systems. Support clinic and school health operations by managing patient flow, scheduling follow-up care, administering medications, conducting health screenings, and monitoring immunization compliance. Promote health, safety, wellness, disease prevention, and public health initiatives through education, advocacy, and adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements. Perform clinical and administrative duties, including communication with patients and families, specimen collection and laboratory support, equipment and supply management, and quality improvement activities. Demonstrate professionalism, clinical judgment, and commitment to ongoing professional development while maintaining current licensure, certifications, and nursing best practices. Hours/Shifts 64 hours biweekly, day shifts. Required ability to float to all departments within the Fergus Falls, Barnesville, Morris, Ashby, Elbow Lake and Battle Lake clinics.

  • Range: $30.92-$45.28/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. QualificationsRequirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.

  • Skills: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to perform within the registered nurse scope of practice. Current Healthcare Provider-level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within six months.
  • Licensure/Certification: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current Minnesota Public Health Nurse registration preferred or required based on school contract requirements. Current Minnesota RN Licensure CPR Certificate Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening. Ability to work independently in school settings while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Reliable attendance and ability to work at the clinic site as scheduled, including travel to other clinic sites. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. The RN delegates and supervises nursing care consistent with professional standards and the scope of practice as defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing

Requirements

Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current Minnesota RN license. A BSN and Minnesota Public Health Nurse registration are preferred, along with CPR certification.
