- Overview: A campus of Community HigherEd, is seeking a professional, engaging, and student-focused Career Advisor to join our team. This role is key in supporting students and graduates in identifying, preparing for, and securing employment in their field of study. The Career Advisor collaborates with students, employers, and the community to deliver high-quality job placement assistance, career coaching, and employment readiness programming. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for workforce development. Candidates should be comfortable leveraging technology, building relationships with local employers, and delivering career-related workshops.

- Responsibilities: Provide individualized and group-based career advising to students and graduates, including resume development, job search strategies, interview preparation, and professionalism. Build and maintain employer relationships to facilitate job opportunities, internships, and externships aligned with academic programs. Analyze student qualifications, experience, and program outcomes to match candidates with appropriate job placements. Maintain current knowledge of local, regional, and national labor market trends and employment opportunities in relevant industries. Use digital platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, and Google Workspace to promote opportunities and monitor student engagement. Coordinate, market, and host career-related events such as job fairs, employer spotlight days, and career readiness workshops. Track and report placement outcomes and employer satisfaction to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional goals. Collaborate with academic departments and leadership to align career services strategies with student success outcomes. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for a diverse student population, promoting equity in employment access. Ensure confidentiality of student and employer records in accordance with institutional policy and FERPA. Represent the college at graduation ceremonies and external events, maintaining a professional presence in the community. Participate in a minimum of two professional development activities per year to stay current in career advising best practices.

- Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Associate Degree from an accredited institution (preferred) Experience in career advising, workforce development, staffing/recruiting, or job placement services (strongly preferred)
