  • Workforce Training Specialist Downtown Buffalo, NY | Full Time | Monday–Friday | $22.00–$24.00 per hour Love mentoring and helping others succeed?
  • Join The Arc Erie County New York as our Workforce Training Specialist to work one on one or with a group of developmentally disabled individuals as a role model, mentor, and/or job coach.
  • What You’ll Do Instruct and assist individuals in developing social skills, and work skills/ habits in a community – based setting Work with the Specialized Workforce Training Center staff to ensure accurate documentation of all trainings.
  • Assists individuals in the process of integrating into the work force through utilizing natural support and assisting in active social participation with co-workers in both on and off-site activities.
  • Make recommendations (job carving) to the employer and/or supervisor in adapting job duties to the abilities of the individual as needed to ensure individual’s employment.
  • What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s Degree plus one year of full-time experience in a work setting training others.
  • One year of full-time direct service experience with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred.
  • Must be Multi-Media First Aid Certified or receive certification within ninety (90) days from the date of hire.
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver’s license, approved driving record and reliable transportation to all parts of greater Erie County area.
