  • Description Incarnation Catholic Preschool is seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old classroom.
  • This individual will create a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment where children can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support the growth and development of two-year-old children. Create a nurturing, safe, and welcoming classroom environment. Foster children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development through intentional teaching and positive interactions. Guide children using positive behavior management techniques and age-appropriate expectations. Maintain daily classroom routines, including arrival, playtime, snack, toileting, outdoor activities, rest time, and dismissal. Observe and assess children's development and communicate progress with parents as needed. Maintain accurate attendance, student records, and required classroom documentation. Ensure classroom compliance with all Department of Human Services regulations and licensing requirements. Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, administration, and fellow staff members. Communicate professionally and compassionately with parents, guardians, and staff. Uphold and model Catholic values in a respectful, inclusive, and child-centered manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in school events as required. Complete all required professional development and continuing education hours.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Experience teaching young children in a preschool, childcare, or early learning setting. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for two-year-old children. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry children when necessary. Ability to sit, kneel, bend, and move comfortably on the floor with children.
