The Assistant Athletic Trainer provides quality health services to student-athletes and manages administrative duties within the sports medicine department. They serve as a liaison between athletes and physicians while ensuring compliance with NCAA and ODAC regulations.
As needed; may transport student-athlete(s) to medical care facilities. Some travel may be needed with various sports.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree and Board Certification (NATA) Athletic Training Must adhere to the philosophy of Sweet Briar College and NCAA Division III rules CPR/AED certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy Ability to interact with all levels of the Sweet Briar College community Ability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and meet college’s insurability standards
Three or more years working in the collegiate setting, or related field The salary range for this position is $47,500.00- $54,000.00 per year. This is commensurate with education and experience and will be determined in accordance with institutional guidelines.
Candidates must hold a Master's Degree and NATA Board Certification along with CPR/AED certification. A valid driver's license and a strong commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy are required.
