The Instructor Nurse Aide Program plays a critical role in preparing aspiring nurse aides to deliver high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings.
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training programs that meet state and federal regulatory standards.
The instructor will facilitate both theoretical and practical learning experiences, ensuring students acquire the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to succeed in their certification and future careers.
By fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, the instructor helps students develop professional competencies, ethical standards, and effective communication skills.
Ultimately, this role contributes to the healthcare workforce by equipping competent nurse aides who can provide compassionate and safe care to patients.
Level of Education
Nursing School Graduate: Technical or Professional License(s)/Certification(s)
Registered Nurse (current unencumbered VA license)
Infection Control Preventionist: Adult CPR (current certification)
IV Therapy Certificate: Level of Experience
At least 3 years of related work experience teaching adults, preferably in a nurse aid training program. Prefer experience in long-term care.
Primary contacts are with staff/students.
The position is expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment. The position will monitor and review the work of students.
