Adelphi is looking for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver health and care services to students with significant medical needs through private nursing services at a school facility located in La Plata, Maryland.

Requirements
- Active MD License

- Ability to provide care during transportation (bus ride included)
Responsibilities
- Provide medical services exclusively to the assigned student and be available to them at all times.
- Maintain visual access unless otherwise specified in the student's health or individualized education plan (IEP).
- Deliver care in a non-disruptive manner and handle any medical emergencies that arise.
- Be responsible for activities of daily living for students with (e.g., feeding, diapering, dressing, lifting, and positioning) unless school staff are providing instruction as part of the students’ IEP.
- Must have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations, and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) for students aged three (3) years old to 21 years old.
- Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support IEP implementation.
- Attend IEP meetings to provide relevant medical information when requested.
- Adhere to all school district board policies and specific physician orders during school hours and transportation.
- Ensure that necessary medical supplies and equipment are present and in good working order.
- Carry out specific activities delegated by the teacher related to the student’s care.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
