We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our Rochester team. As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you have responsibility for day-to-day classroom activities with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience for young children utilizing the High Scope curriculum.
Position Details
- Status: Regular, full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:30am-4:30pm) Hourly rate- $16-$20/hour (based on certification or degree plus years of experience in early childhood education) Location: Onsite, Rochester, MI CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required
- OR- a bachelor’s degree or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or child-related field preferred Minimum of one year experience in a toddler classroom is required CPR Certification (Heartsaver for K-12 schools), may obtain within 30 days of hire Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers Essential functions: Ensures overall safety of children Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools Conduct Parent Teacher conferences Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining Ensure cleaning tasks are completed Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate Paid professional development Childcare discount (TriShare center/employer) Medical, dental, vision insurance (choice of plans) Free Telehealth Aflac Supplemental Insurance Paid time off 401K with company match Paid Planning Time Referral bonuses Annual performance reviews and increases Free breakfast, lunch, and snacks Birthday benefits Why join our team: Working at Heartfelt Impressions you will be seen, heard and valued as the educator you are.
