Description JOB SUMMARY The Curriculum Specialist is responsible for assisting the Curriculum Director in the development and implementation of curriculum for Career Connections and Shared Table food pantry.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with day program director and staff to provide quality services for clients Act as a mentor/role model for Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) as necessary to ensure implementation and promote a client-centered environment in day service programs; ensure any necessary follow-up and provide feedback to Curriculum Director and Program Directors Stage weekly lessons and ensure supplies/materials are on hand and in good working condition Assist in researching, developing, and implementing all curriculum components at Career Connections, including but not limited to lessons, samples, visual guides, and hands-on materials Maintain dietary restrictions and spreadsheets where necessary for curriculum activities Create and maintain inventories of lessons and curriculum materials, keeping them organized and well-stocked Shop for supplies when requested by Curriculum Director and maintain budget expenses using an Excel tracking sheet Assist in scheduling weekly components of curriculum and input data on activity and tally sheets Lead Shared Table appointments and training labs Ensure Shared Table tasks are completed accurately and on time Capture, upload, and organize photos of client activities and participation, along with demonstration photos for lessons Stay up to date on client behavior trainings and CSTs Participate and assist in tours, when requested by Curriculum Director Maintain day service program electronics and troubleshoot technical issues as they pertain to curriculum programming running efficiently Crosstrain with curriculum team to assist with covering duties during illness or vacations All other duties as assigned by the director PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged standing Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent ability to navigate, implement and troubleshoot technology. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
