  • Range: $17.00 - $21.00 HourlyWe are seeking a Youth Care Specialist – Transitional Living to join our team.

Hourly Rate

$17.00 - $21.00 Schedules Available: Missouri Full-time Shift: Monday – Friday: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm Full-time Shift: Friday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday – Sunday: 11:00am – 11:00 pm Part-time Shift: Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am Kansas Full-time Shift: Monday – Thursday: 10:00 pm – 8:00 am This role oversees clients in daily activities while teaching new skills, ensuring safety, and managing behaviors. Plan activities, reinforce treatment plans and document all client-related information. you will work with other team members and report to the Program Manager Pathways. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Responsible for direct supervision and safety of all clients. Responsible for proper behavior management of children through the use of behavior management techniques. Build healthy relationships with clients and be a role model of healthy behaviors Have a working knowledge of the child's treatment plan and objectives and structures activities to support that plan. Responsible for creatively structuring activities for groups and conducting psycho-educational groups. May be responsible for medication administration and other medical support. Responsible for teaching, guiding, and assisting the client in daily life skills as appropriate for age. Provide 24-hour awake supervision. Ability to manage clients courteously and tactfully while on agency property. Responsible for the above essential duties. May require transporting youth to events, meetings, appointments and/or activities May attend court hearings, family support team and school meetings. May interview and make a recommendation in the hiring process. May assign job duties, train staff, and ensure adequate coverage. Other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with children and the following: High school diploma, required. Bachelor's degree in social services, child development, or criminal justice, preferred. At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
