Responsibilities
- The Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA Early Learning Center is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher who is enthusiastic and compassionate to join our team.
- Care: Supervise assigned groups of children and engage in positive staff-child interaction.
- Develop: Promote a healthy, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical environment for each child.
- Nurture: Success in this position is defined as growth in student participation and quality enrichment, sound adherence to defined safety and educational standards by the staff, and positive feedback from parents.
Requirements
- Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Experience working in an early learning center or preschool is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to attend work.
- Be self-motivated, resourceful, and have excellent customer service skills.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Salary
Part-time $14.00-14.50 hourly
