Position Summary
The Parenting Support Professional (PSP) provides support for parents with intellectual and developmental disabilities or suspected intellectual disabilities. Together with the person and their family, assist in charting a course that supports them to parent their child/children as well as realizing their goals to achieve life that is important to them. Key Responsibilities Facilitate the development of Person-Centered plans. Understand and implement each Person’s Person-Centered Plan and current ISP that reflects the goals and outcomes chosen by the Person. Support the Person in the creation of IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) and IEP individualized Education Program for self or child(ren). Respect each person's right to make choices and exercise self-determination, resulting in life experiences and personal growth for themselves and their children. Support each Person’s health and safety, while also supporting their right to risk while understanding the PSP’s role as a mandated reporter of child abuse and neglect. Provide opportunities for each person to explore their interest in their community and build relationships. Understand the importance of family in each person's life. Build a positive relationship with family members. Develop positive working relationships with team members to include team members related to child protective services. Support each Person’s needs and requests for support to include: Person-Centered goals and outcomes, appointments, relationship building, legal/court hearing and meetings, educational meetings and behavior support sessions for themselves or their children. Complete required documentation. Create a daily schedule, report daily schedule and any changes to supervisory staff. Participate in training as required, including team meetings. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience: The equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Human Services/Social Science and one year of experience in a related field.

Clearances
- Satisfactory Act 33 and 34 clearances, and FBI clearance as required.
