Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct, hands-on behavioral support to individuals in Community Living homes. Working under the supervision of a BCBA/LBA, the RBT implements Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), skill-building programs, and data collection procedures to help individuals increase independence and improve quality of life.

This is an active, safety-sensitive role that requires continuous engagement, supervision, and implementation of evidence-based ABA strategies throughout each shift.

Qualifications

  • Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Current RBT certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • 6 months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs
  • Experience in residential, school, or clinical settings
  • Valid driver's license meeting transportation requirements

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and skill acquisition programs as directed
  • Collect accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data
  • Provide direct support and supervision throughout the shift
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and teach daily living skills
  • Support community activities, routines, and individual goals
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, supervisors, and direct support staff
  • Complete required documentation and participate in supervision sessions
  • Maintain compliance with BACB standards, organizational policies, and certification requirements
  • Responsible for

The starting rate for this position begins at $23.44 per hour, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications. Not yet certified? We’ve got you covered! We pay for the RBT course, which must be completed before your first day, and we provide exam prep support. While preparing for the exam, you'll start at a lower training rate. Once certified, your pay increases to the RBT rate.
